How to drive fast and spend nothing on tires and gas…SIM Day at Thunder Bunny!
On August 10th, the BMW Car Club and Thunder Bunny Racing will offer a chance to drive a BMW M4 GT4 at Road Atlanta – without leaving the room.
Compete against other drivers in Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced heats. The winners take home a cash prize of $75!
About the program:
These SIMs are Next Level Racing GT Elite chassis, Moza Racing Wheels and Pedals. The game is called iRacing. While we can use motion on some of the SIMs, motion will be turned off for the races.
Thunder Bunny Racing races Toyota Supras (real ones), and these SIMs are used to tune up the drivers before they run an actual course.
When registering as a non member, if you are asked for membership number, enter all zeros, and select Sandlapper Chapter.
Event requirements
About the Contest :
We will run heats of six drivers each. There’s a 5-minute warm-up lap to familiarize yourself with the SIM and then a 10-minute race, where the best time wins. Ten minutes may not seem like a long time, but it is when you’re racing!
The two top winners from each heat will face off, and the winner will take home a cash prize. The prize is $75 per group (Novice, Intermediate, Advanced). Winners will also receive a certificate.
About Down time: Thunder Bunny has a group of beautiful cars to peruse, in addition to a workshop where they service and enhance cars. Contestants will have the ability to look around the area.
We will also provide the ability to watch other racers via projection screen if you want to stay in the action.
Contestants must be at least 18 years of age.
